He was the former Chairman of the “Doak Walker National Running Back Award”. He is an alumnus of both Leadership Dallas and Leadership Plano. He is a graduate (1977) of Southern Methodist University with a bachelor of business administration degree. He & his wife Cheryl have been married for 29 years and have three fabulous daughters.
